The City of Coffeyville is looking a bit brighter at night thanks to the recent completion of a project to install new LED streetlights.

The project was approved in May 2024 and was funded through the Kansas Corporation Commission Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant. Nearly 1,000 lights have been installed at no cost to the City or Coffeyville taxpayers. The $600,000 project was led by Coffeyville Municipal Light & Power and the Community Development Department, with installation support provided by CDL Electric Company.

These upgrades improve energy efficiency, enhance nighttime visibility, and provide long-term operational savings for Coffeyville.
