Wilson County Schools crown their top spellers at the Wilson County Spelling Bee.
Students from Neodesha, Fredonia, and Altoona gathered yesterday to compete for the chance to move on to the Sunflower State Spelling Bee in Salina next month. The championship trophy went to Camden Kerr of Neodesha, with Sidney McKenney and Abigail Hazelwood, both of Fredonia, coming in second and third.
Kerr moves on to the state contest to compete against other county winners from across the state for the chance to move on to the Scripps National Spelling Bee in Washington DC in May.
