The Wilson County Commission approves a purchase of new equipment fro the Fredonia Police Department.
At the most recent commission meeting, Fredonia Police Chief Tyler Decker presented a request to purchase an A-E-D & Trauma Kit using funds from the county's Opioid Settlement Fund. The kit is designed to manage incidents of sudden cardiac arrest as well as life-threatening injuries including severe bleeding until professional medical help arrives. Commissioners approved the $4,500 expenditure.
In other business, commissioners also approved the removal and transfer of ownership of a rural fire district shed.
The next meeting of the Wilson County Commission will be on February 18th in Fredonia.
