The Labette County commission hears an update from the director of emergency management on a class he attend for battery storage facilities.

Director Charlie Morse says the class was about what to do if one of the units catches on fire.  Morse says one thing he learned was how bad water can be for fires from these kind of facilities.

Morse says he plans to meet with the area fire chiefs to go over what he learned. If a battery storage facility was brought into the county then they would have a training class in the county as well.
