High fire danger is possible today across part of the KGGF listening area.

Southeast Kansas and northeast Oklahoma will see a high risk of grassland fire danger today, while fire danger will be greatest in central and western Kansas. Timing for these conditions is expected between noon and 6 p.m.

The National Weather Service says warm temperatures and breezy southwest winds will support very high grassland fire danger this afternoon. Please be mindful of anything that could cause a spark.
