A Fort Scott man is seriously injured in an ATV crash in Bourbon County.
70-year-old Gary Foster was seriously injured Thursday afternoon when his ATV collide with another vehicle on a Bourbon County highway. Foster had exited the driveway of a rural property about 14 miles southwest of Fort Scott. He drove the ATV onto K-39 where he collided with a westbound Hyundai Elantra driven by 46-year-old Cheryl Anderson of Winfield. The collision caused the ATV to roll into the ditch, ejected Foster from the vehicle. Foster was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash and was taken to Mercy Hospital in Joplin.
Anderson and a juvenile passenger in her vehicle suffered minor injuries and were transported to Freeman Hospital in Fort Scott for treatment.
