The installation of new cell towers in the County draws commissioner questions at this week’s Montgomery County Commission meeting.
The topic came up during the quarterly report from County Director of Environmental and Zoning Matt Debo. Debo says there has been increased interest in the construction of new towers recently.
Commission Chair Mike Cordray asked Debo if the county has any sort of legal defense against placement of the towers. Debo says, without county-wide zoning, not really.
Commissioners asked Debo to do more research into the issue and agreed to discuss possible options on the matter at a future time.
