The City of Coffeyville and the Coffeyville Area Chamber of Commerce is working to keep a long-time business in the City.
The Sherwin-Williams company has announced that the store on 11th Street will close sometime in the coming weeks. The City and the Coffeyville Chamber are working together to advocate that the company keep a continued presence in the community. Chamber President Candi Westbrook says a big reason for that is because Sherwin-Williams has had roots in Coffeyville for many years.
The land where that facility once sat is now Sherwin-Willliams Park, well-used by local residents. While representatives from the Chamber and City Officials have talked to the Sherwin-Williams corporate offices, Westbrook says community voices can help too.
