A small plane crashes during take-off from a Wichita-area airport.
The incident occurred on Saturday morning just after 10am as a 2023 Cessna Skyhawk was undertaking a fourth take-off attempt from the south end of the runway at the Augusta Airport, located just west of the City of Augusta. The aircraft began to drift to the left and the pilot was unable to regain control of the plane. The Cessna veered off the runway and into a snow bank where it flipped onto its roof.
The pilot, a 40-year-old Wichita woman, was uninjured.
