A weekend train derailment is under investigation following a weekend collision.
Authorities in Barton County, MO, report that two trains collided around 8:30 Friday morning on a Canadian Pacific Kansas City or C-P-K-C siding near Burgess or about 5 miles east of Arma. Two tanker cars from one train derailed while a grain hopper and engine derailed on the second train. Railroad officials say no hazardous material was spilled, though the hopper car did spill some grain. No injuries were reported and the cause of the collision remains under investigation.
