One person is injured following a Saturday morning house fire in Bartlesville.
Around 6:40 Saturday morning, firefighters were called to the 1500 block of Southwest Oak Avenue for reports of a structure fire. Four units arrived on the scene to find heavy smoke and flames coming from the single-story home. The home’s sole occupant was taken via ambulance to a Tulsa area hospital for treatment.
A Bartlesville firefighter was also transported to Jane Phillips Medical Center after becoming disoriented while inside the structure. He was treated and released.
Fire crews remained on the scene until about 10am. Bartlesville Fire Chief H.C. Call says the home is a total loss.
The cause of the blaze remains under investigation.
