The City of Commerce, Oklahoma, remains under a boil water order as its water tower is plagued by mechanical issues caused by the recent cold weather.
The City has also decided to temporarily shut down the water tower in order to allow it to refill and stabilize the water pressure. The cycle of water use in the city has made it difficult to build pressure in the system because water is being used faster than it can be supplied to the tower.
City officials say there is currently no time line for when pressure will be fully restored. The City will remain under the boil order until further notice.
