The City of Commerce, Oklahoma, has issued a boil water order for all customers of the city water supply.

Until further notice, customers should boil water for one minute prior to drinking or food preparation or use bottled water instead. Dispose of ice cubes from trays and automatic ice makers and disinfect dishes and food preparation surfaces. Water used for bathing does not need to be boiled, but supervision of children is necessary while bathing so that water is not ingested.

The order was issued due to mechanical issues affecting the city water tower as a result of the recent cold weather.
