Law Enforcement Raids Two SEK Locations for Illegal Gambling

 

Two locations in southeast Kansas are raided for illegal gambling activities.

 

Deputies from the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office and Special Agents from the Kansas Gaming and Racing Commission served search warrants yesterday at two Galaxy Food Mart locations. Officers raided locations at 202 East Main Street in Weir and at 100 South E Avenue in Columbus. The warrants were part of an ongoing investigation into illegal gambling operations in southeast Kansas.

 

The Cherokee County Sheriff's Office says evidence was seized in connection to iiegal gambling activities taking place at both locations. The findings will be submitted to the Cherokee County Attorney's Office.
