An Arkansas State Trooper is rear-ended in his patrol car on the Interstate during the recent snow storm.

The accident occurred on I-40 just north of Fort Smith. The trooper was assisting with another accident when his cruiser was struck by an 18-wheeler. The trooper had exited his vehicle when the accident occurred and was uninjured in the accident. His patrol vehicle was totaled.

Officials say the accident is a reminder for drivers to use caution when road conditions are poor.
