A missing Emporia woman is found deceased.
Police in Emporia say 28-year-old Rebecca Rauber was found on Sunday just yards away from where she was last seen alive.
The elementary school teacher was last seen leaving the Town Royal Bar on Emporia's West 4th Avenue just before midnight on Friday night. She was found in a wooded area about 300 yards south of that location. Police say, at this time, it's likely that Rauber succumbed to hypothermia soon after she disappeared and that she was not found earlier because she was covered by snow.
The investigation into Rauber's death remains ongoing.
