Parsons City Commission Discusses Recent Animal Bites

The Parsons City Commission discusses a recent increase in animal bites in the City.

At the most recent meeting, Commissioner Tom Shaw noted that there had been four reports of animal bites in Parsons during December. He stated that the total number for the year was 22, making the December reports a concerning increase. Police Chief Robert Spinks says only one of the December incidents was serious in nature.

Spinks added that the incidents involving dogs did not involve a vicious animal, but that the dog appeared to be frightened instead.

In other business, the date of the February 2nd meeting was changed to February 3rd due to several commissioners being out of town on official business on the 2nd.
