Residents in Copan are being asked to lower their thermostats to help conserve gas amid an issue with the system.

According to the Town of Copan, the issue with gas pressure has been going on throughout the day and employees are working diligently to resolve the problem.  They are asking all community members to lower their thermostat to help ensure gas is available for everyone.

In addition, the school has opened its doors for anyone who needs a warm place to stay. If you have lost gas and do not have transportation to the school, please call 539-231-2411 to arrange a ride.
