Road crews for the City of Coffeyville are preparing ahead of today's expected winter storm.

Deputy Director of Public Works Thomas Osborn has been getting his department ready to treat the roads this week. He says Public Works trucks will be out treating City streets with a special mix to improve traction.

Forecasts predict between 8 and 12 inches of snow for Coffeyville in the next few days. Residents are urged to stay off the streets if possible. Those who must travel during the winter storm are urged to give themselves extra time and to proceed slowly with caution.
