The City of Caney continues to make progress on its connection to the Coffeyville water system.
At this week's council meeting, council members approved two payments to Midwest Engineering for their work on the water project. One payment was for $45,000 and another for $181,000. Mayor Josh Elliott says the bills have been outstanding for two years.
Elliott says funding has been coming in as collaboration with Coffeyville continues.
The next meeting of the Caney City Council will be February 2nd.
