The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office announces it has resumed VIN checks.

As of Wednesday afternoon, those needing VIN checks for their vehicles were once again able to obtain them from the Sheriff's Office. Those services were suspended last week due to an ongoing, unspecified system-wide outage. Last week's outage was the second this month. Officials stated that the issue was being addressed by the Kansas Bureau of Investigation.

Sheriff's Office officials say the issue has been resolved and VIN inspections have resumed.
