The Independence City Commission continues its work in combating dangerous and unsafe structures in the city.
At tonight's meeting, public hearings will be held on ten more properties deemed dangerous and unsafe. Structures include a former office building on West Chestnut Street that has fallen into disrepair and a house on North 2nd Street that incurred heavy damage in a fire last spring. Additionally, two more properties will have public hearings set for March 26th. Commissioners will also consider a conditional use permit for a boarding kennel on South 25th Street.
Tonight's meeting begins at 5:30 in the Commission Room at City Hall. The meeting is open to the public and can also be viewed online via the City of Independence website.
