A winter storm watch will be in effect for the four-state area from Friday afternoon through Saturday night.
Cold wind chills between 10 and 20 degrees below zero are possible, especially for Saturday and Sunday mornings. Accumulating snowfall will also affect much of the region, with southern Kansas and Missouri and northern Oklahoma and Arkansas seeing the best chance for higher snowfall amounts.
The latest estimates from the National Weather Service put the Coffeyville area at a 51% chance of seeing four inches of snow or more. Snow is expected to start late Friday afternoon or Friday evening and continue through Saturday night. Arctic air will linger through Sunday. Stay tuned for additional forecasts as the weekend approaches. KGGF will also provide closing information on air and online if needed.
