Fire crews from multiple department respond to a structure fire in Buffalo.
The call came in around 5:30 Monday night. When emergency crews arrived on the scene, they found a garage fully engulfed in flames with heavy fire extension to a nearby home. The house was occupied at the time the fire broke out, but all were able to safely escape the blaze. Fire fighters on the scene were able to quickly bring the flames under control and extinguish the fire in spite of temperatures in the low 20s.
Wilson County Rural Fire responded to the call along with units from Fredonia and Neodesha. Wilson County noted that another 30 volunteer firefighters also assisted with the call.
