The Wilson County Commission meets to tackle some routine policy changes and updates.
At the commission's most recent meting, County Coordinator Kris Marple presented a revised agreement with the Kansas Setoff Program. The program is a state government debt-collection mechanism that helps local governments recover delinquent debts by intercepting or “setting off” certain state payments or refunds that would otherwise be paid to an individual or business. Marple also presented the Federal Civil Rights Title VI Policy & Complaint form from the Kansas Department of Emergency Management for approval. Both were approved by the commission. Commissioners also approved the expenditure of just over $1,000 to add seven alarm buttons to the courthouse security system.
The next meeting of the Wilson County Commission will be Wednesday, January 21, at 9am at the courthouse in Fredonia.
