Nowata Public Schools hold a ground-breaking ceremony for a new agriculture building.
The new building will be constructed on south side of the city and is part of a $16.8 million bond that was approved by voters last spring. Nowata School Board President Kurt Bashford says the new facilities will help expand learning opportunities for ag students.
The Nowata School district also broke ground last week on new facilities for Nowata High School baseball and softball teams. Superintendent Mindy Englett says the work on both the athletic facilities and new ag building will benefit all of Nowata.
The new agriculture building is expected to be completed by April.
