An Allen County man is sentenced to 17 years in prison on second degree murder charge.

46-year-old Casey McDonald Dye was sentenced last week in Allen County District Court to 206 months in prison for the December 2022 shooting death of 45-year-old Ryan Holcomb of Chanute. Dye entered a guilty plea in November to second-degree murder, aggravated burglary, and interfering with law enforcement in the case.

Investigators in the case say Dye killed Holcomb at a rural property in Allen County and then moved his body to a vehicle inside an automotive glass shop on K-39 in Chanute.
