A Parsons man is dead following a collision with a semi truck near the Coffeyville industrial park.

The accident occurred around 3:40am on Saturday, when a 2004 Dodge Ram 1500 driven by 34-year-old Dakota Hinman failed to yield at the intersection of County Road 2800 and US-169, just north of the Coffeyville industrial park. Hinman’s vehicle was struck on the driver’s side by an 18-wheeler traveling northbound on US-169. The driver of the semi was identified as 43-year-old Said Bouchelarm of Lenexa.
