Labette County issues a county-wide burn ban.

Due to high winds and dry conditions, the burn ban was issued Thursday. Precipitation totals have been below average for the past month leading to dry conditions and winds are forecast Friday around 20mph with gusts as high as 40 mph. These conditions can lead quickly to out of control fires.

Outdoor burning is prohibited in Labette County until further notice.
