The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office says VIN inspections have been temporarily suspended once again due to an ongoing system outage.

 

According to the M-C-S-O, the system has been intermittantly operational but it is currently non-functioning. This means that VIN inspections cannot currently be conducted. A similar outage forced the county to suspend inspections last week as well.

 

The issue is out of the control of local authorities and is not due to issues in Montgomery County. The Kansas Bureau of Investigation is currently working to address the problem.
