A Cherryvale man is dead following a single-vehicle crash Friday night on the Creek Turnpike in Tulsa County.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says 18-year-old Sean Allen was traveling at a high rate of speed westbound on the turnpike, just east of US-75. Troopers say Allen nearly struck another vehicle, swerved right and lost control of his vehicle before striking a tree.

Allen was pronounced deceased at the scene.
