The Montgomery County Commission handles a light agenda with a focus on board reorganization and employee health insurance.
At Monday’s meeting, Montgomery County Commissioners spent the majority of the meeting listening with little action taken. Representatives from the Kansas City-based Bukaty Company detailed employee health insurance benefits and costs for the coming year.
Commissioners also heard from a Tallahassee, Florida, man who has been looking for support from commissions across the country for a project he is working on. Scott Wheeler appeared via Zoom call and says he is looking for a letter of support from commissioners.
Commissioners agreed to consider Wheeler’s request during a work session, but otherwise took no action.
In other business, commissioners approved a cereal malt beverage license for the Caney Golf Club. Commissioner Mike Cordray was also chosen to serve as Board chair for a second year.
