The Wilson County Commission reorganizes for 2026.
At its first meeting of 2026, the Wilson County Commission selected Casey Lair to serve as Commission Chair and Andrew Miller to fill the role of Vice-Chair. The heads of various county departments were also re-appointed to continue serving in their respective roles.
County Coordinator Kris Marple presented a resolution to increase the construction and demolition landfill fee from $30 to $40 per ton. He also presented a quote from A-1 Computers for a replacement exterior security camera for the courthouse and a new replacement radio. Commissioners approved the expenditure of $716 for both.
Road and Bridge Supervisor Kary Tatum presented right-of-way permits for Evergy, which were also approved by the commission.
The next Wilson County Commission meeting will be held tomorrow at 9am at the courthouse in Fredonia.
