The school board for the Independence Public Schools will hold their first meeting of 2026 tonight.

The USD 446 Board is expected to entertain a light agenda with tonight's business focused on policy updates from the Kansas Association of School Boards, a review of district technology, and a discussion of school calendars.

Before tonight's meeting there will be a Board appreciation dinner in the Community Room at Independence High School. The board meeting will begin at 7pm in the IHS library, The meeting is open to the public.
