A Linn County man is injured in a single vehicle accident north of Fort Scott.
On Friday afternoon, 30-year-old Josiah Shoemaker of Prescott was eastbound on 300 Road in Linn County, just west of US-69. The tires of Shoemaker’s 1992 Chevy pickup dropped off the roadway, causing him to overcorrect. His truck then left the road again and entered the ditch, where he then went through a barbed wire fence before striking the side of a steep ditch.
Shoemaker was taken to KU Medical Center with serious injuries. He was not wearing a seat belt when the accident occurred.
