A stolen vehicle is recovered following a multi-agency investigation that crossed state lines.

The Caney Police Department says officers responded to a reported vehicle theft from a business's parking lot. Surveillance footage showed the suspect entering the vehicle and driving away. The vehicle was entered into national and regional alert systems, including NCIC and Flock Safety. With assistance from the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, the Kansas Highway Patrol, and out-of-state agencies, the vehicle was tracked into Oklahoma.

Later that evening, the Kay County Sheriff’s Office located the vehicle and arrested 33-year-old Alexander Landrum of Galveston, Texas. The vehicle was recovered, and additional felony theft charges are being recommended.
