Five suspects are arrested in connection with a homicide in northwest Arkansas.
In mid-November of last year, police officers in Van Buren, Arkansas, recovered the body of a man later identified as 30-year-old Derek Marshall from the Arkansas River. The cause of death was determined to be homicide from multiple gunshot wounds.
During the investigation, OSBI special agents learned that Marshall was killed on November 5, 2025, in Muldrow, Oklahoma. Based on the information and evidence gathered, five suspects were identified.
Law enforcement arrested 59-year-old Danny Goad, who was charged with First-Degree Murder and Possession of a Firearm After a Felony Conviction. Goad was already booked into the Muskogee County Jail on unrelated charges.
46-year-old Jason Quick, 56-year-old Jerry Pratt, and 56-year-old Rhonda Jeremiah were also arrested and booked into the Sequoyah County Jail on charges of Accessory After the Fact.
56-year-old Nathern England, was also arrested and booked into the Sequoyah County Jail on charges of Obstructing an Officer.
The Van Buren Police Department, Sequoyah County Sheriff's Office, and the Cherokee Nation Marshal Service assisted the OSBI with the investigation.
