The Kansas Highway Patrol releases its New Year’s Holiday Activity Report. The reporting period for the holiday ran from 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, through 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, January 4, 2026.

 

 The Kansas Highway Patrol worked two non-DUI related fatal crashes which resulted in two non-DUI related fatalities. The fatal crashes occurred in Jefferson and Ford counties.

 

 There were 25 DUI arrests over the reporting period, up from 12 in 2025, but down from 29 in 2024.
