KCC Public Hearing Tonight in Sedan

 

The Kansas Coporation Commission will hold a public hearing tonight in Sedan.

 

The topic of discussion will be Evergy's proposed 133-mile electric transmission line that would run through areas of Chautauqua, Cowley, Sumner and Sedgwick counties. The hearing will be conducted by  K-C-C staff and Evergy representatives and will give residents the opportunity to ask questions and make public comments about the project while learning more about what the venture entails. Tonight's hearing will begin with an open house at 3:30 followed by the hearing at 6. The event will take place at Sedan High School.

 

There will be a second hearing tomorrow night in Winfield on the cam[pus of Southwestern College. The K-C-C will also accept written comments on the project through January 23.
