The Hominy Police Department announces it will increase enforcement efforts against animals running at large.
The move comes after a large number of animals have been reported running loose in the city. In an attempt to gain control of the situation and to improve public safety, H-P-D reminds residents that all animals must be properly vaccinated and registered with City Hall. Yearly registration fees are $5 for males or spayed females and $7 for unspayed females. This applies to all dogs and cats over six months of age. Fees can be paid at the Hominy City Hall.
Any animals picked up and impounded by the City will be held for 72 hours before the adoption process begins.
H-P-D says officers will begin a zero tolerance policy. Copies of all animal ordinances are available on request at the Hominy City Hall.
