Two people are injured following a car accident in Coffeyville.
The accident occurred Tuesday around 11:15am at the intersection of 11th and Hall Streets. A 2016 Honda CRV driven by 79-year-old Carlene Helgason of Coffeyville was stopped at a stop sign on Hall Street when she failed to yield to oncoming traffic. Helgason's vehicle struck a 2022 Dodge Durango driven by 38-year-old Christopher Bishop of Tyro when she attempted to cross 11th Street.
Both drivers suffered minor injuries and were taken to Coffeyville Regional Medical Center for treatment.
