The City of Cherryvale is implementing a plan to deal with an election error from last year.
At yesterday's City Council meeting, City Attorney Seth Jones explained the process that has been set in motion after Norman Johnson inadvertently filed and won two seats on the council in November. Cherryvale City Administrator Michael Hall says Council Member Steve Strickland's seat will be vacated as part of this reset process.
Hall says he's confident that Strickland will be appointed back to his seat.
The special meeting will take place next Monday at 5:30 p.m. In other business, the Council adopted the City's new comprehensive plan that has been in the works for the past 13 months.
