A light agenda for the Caney City Council last night saw Jeff Culver, Ward 1 representative, named as the new council president. This was the first meeting of the council in which the number of council members was reduced from eight to four.
In other business, a six month extension was given for the CDBG Housing Revitalization Grant. City Clerk Adam Lanter is confident that all applications submitted will be processed before the deadline.
Lanter and Police Chief Ike Dye were reappointed to their positions, and approval was given to accept Jarred, Gilmore, & Phillips as the CPA to conduct the City of Caney’s 2025 Fiscal Year audit.
The Caney City Council meets the 1st and 3rd Monday of each month at 6:30 at the east entrance of City Hall, 100 West 4th Avenue in Caney.
