A car hits the Moran Post Office and leaves a large hole in the building.

 

The incident happened late last week as a driver was parking on front of the post office in order to get his mail. The driver told police that he thought his foot slipped off the brake and hit the gas pedal. The vehicle then jumped the curb and broke through the building near the front door.

 

The Post Office was closed at the time the crash occurred and no injuries were reported. The Allen County Sheriff's Office reports that the only damage was to the front of the building and that the The administrative office, service counter area, and mail were not affected.
