The City of Bartlesville names an acting police chief as the current chief takes a leave-of-absence.

B-P-D Chief Kevin Ickleberry is taking a leave-of-absence and a deputy chief will step into his role while he is away. Deputy Police Chief Troy Newell has been named acting police chief. Newell is a veteran police officer with 20 year of experience. He has served as a former K-9 handler and longtime member of the Bartlesville Police Department command staff. He has served as deputy chief since 2023.

Newell will serve as Acting Police Chief until Ickleberry returns.
