The Cherokee County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help in identifying the suspects involved in a series of post office burglaries in Cherokee County.
The first break-in West Mineral on December 16th around 11pm when a white SUV was seen leaving the scene of the post office. Later that night in Weir, two suspects, also in a white SUV entered the post office around 11:40pm. They fled the scene traveling north on Jefferson Street.
On either December 16th or 17th in Scammon, that post office was also burglarized. Authorities are trying to determine the timeline of that break-in and asks anyone who uses the Scammon Post Office to help them narrow down the time frame.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Deputy Chatfield with the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office at 620-429-3992 or via email at chatfield@cherokeesheriff-ks.gov
