Area emergency crews respond to a structure fire in Scammon.

The Scammon Fire Department responded to the call around 12:30 Monday morning. A call for mutual aid went out to Columbus Fire after the first units arrived on scene. C-F-D sent three units and 8 firefighters to help contain the fully engulfed structure. Crews were unable to save the structure due to difficult conditions including high wind and freezing termperatures. However, no injuries were reported.
