An Ark City man is recovering from injuries sustained over the weekend after he fell while trimming trees.

The Ark City Fire & EMS Department responded to the scene in the 600 block of North C Street on Saturday afternoon. The 37-year-old man had been trimming trees in the area just after 4pm when he fell an estimated 30 to 35 feet from the tree. He suffered non-life-threatening injuries to his legs and lower back in the fall.

Responders took the victim to the nearby Fire & EMS station so he could be air-lifted via EagleMed to a Wichita hospital.
