A Rogers County man is dead in a single vehicle accident early Christmas morning. 

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reports that 27-year-old Matthew L. Lewis of Claremore was westbound in the 22,000 block of East 350 Road just before 2am Thursday. Lewis' vehicle then crossed the centerline and departed the roadway to the left where it then struck a tree.

Authorities continue to investigate the cause of the accident.
