An Independence man is injured in a two-vehicle accident.

The crash occurred Tuesday afternoon around 3:30 on US-169, just south of the US-160 junction. A 2015 Chevy Cruze driven by 20-year-old Cody O'Connell of Coffeyville was traveling northbound on 169 when it crossed the center line and collided with a Chevy S-10 pickup. O'Connell was uninjured in the crash, while the driver of the pickup – 57-year-old Jerald Bellm of Independence – received minor injuries. Bellm was taken to Coffeyville Regional Medical Center for treatment.
